Arya Ruby Second Flush Darjeeling

Arya Ruby Second Flush Darjeeling

The Arya estate in Darjeeling produces some wonderful teas and this is an example of a true classic. Only tender, high quality leaves and buds are hand-picked on a bright, clear morning (it cannot be raining) and then they are skillfully hand- rolled.

The beautiful, dry leaves are a colourful mix: rolled dark chocolate-coloured leaves with a deep red ruby hue, as well as smaller olive tinted leaves and young, soft furry silver tips. Once infused, the amber liquor smells warm and floral.

The taste is light and delicate on the palate, displaying the rose and muscatel flavours that are characteristic of Arya estate Darjeelings. A sweet caramel aftertaste lingers long on the tongue with each sip of this delicious tea.
